Day 4: Women in Public Service Project

For Day 4 (four colly birds or is it calling birds?), I recommend the Women in Public Service Project, launched just today at the U.S. Department of State by Sec. Clinton, accompanied by other women leaders from the IMFs Christine LaGarde to Kosovos President Jahjaga, who is the youngest president in Europe. Kosovos. I was at the launch and it reminded us all that public service is a calling, and the importance of womens participation in the public sphere. This project will help develop the next generation of women public service leaders. Founded by a partnership between the Department of State and the Seven Sisters womens colleges, it will create training, mentoring and networking opportunities for emerging women leaders from across the globe.
