Im not usually a list person but this is a great list.

Forbes Worlds 100 Most Powerful Women list was released last week. The top 10 are women are trailblazers and role models: German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, PepsiCo CEO Indra Nooyi, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, Gates Foundation Co-Chair Melinda Gates, Indian President Sonia Ghandi, First Lady Michelle Obama, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde and Kraft CEO Irene Rosenfeld.

Its worth checking out the list to see who else is on the list and to read their short bios to get a sense of who they are women like NY Times Executive Editor Jill Abramson (the first women to ever hold that position), Lady Gaga (yes, she is on the list!), Oprah Winfrey, Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Xerox CEO Ursula Burns, Sarah Palin, Queen Elizabeth, JK Rowling, World News anchor Diane Sawyer, and my friend Ernst & Youngs Beth Brooke.

Its a great way to start the week and the new school year and be inspired.
